Product Description

The Chains of Glory plant, also known by its scientific name Crassula perfoliata var. Falcata, is a succulent that is part of the Crassulaceae family. It is often called "Propeller Plant" due to its distinctive, fan-like arrangement of leaves. Here is a description of the plant:

Physical Appearance:
Leaves: The plant features thick, fleshy, and bluish-green leaves that grow in a symmetrical, fan-shaped rosette. The leaves are often arranged in a spiral pattern, creating a propeller-like appearance. These leaves have a smooth, waxy texture and may have red or pink edges when exposed to full sunlight.
Size: It is a relatively small plant, typically growing to about 12–18 inches (30–45 cm) in height and spreading out to around 12 inches wide.
Flowers: During the blooming season (usually in late winter to early spring), it produces small, star-shaped flowers that are typically bright orange or red. The flowers grow in clusters, forming attractive, trumpet-shaped inflorescences.
Growth Habit:
Shape: Chains of Glory forms a compact, bushy, and upright growth habit. Over time, it can develop multiple branches, giving it a somewhat tree-like appearance.
Roots: Like many succulents, it has shallow roots that make it well-suited for dry, well-drained soil.
Care Requirements:
Light: It prefers full sun but can tolerate partial shade. Adequate light helps the plant maintain vibrant coloration and compact growth.
Watering: Being a succulent, it is drought-tolerant and should not be overwatered. It requires well-draining soil and should only be watered when the soil is completely dry.
Temperature: It thrives in warm environments, typically between 60°F to 85°F (15°C to 30°C), and is sensitive to frost.
Soil: A well-draining cactus or succulent mix is ideal.
This plant is a unique and attractive addition to any succulent collection or garden. It is relatively low-maintenance and can thrive in dry, arid conditions, making it suitable for beginners.
