Product Description

The Miyazaki mango, often referred to as the "Egg of the Sun," is a premium variety of mango originating from Japan. It is renowned for its exceptional sweetness, smooth texture, and vibrant color. Here's a description of the plant and its fruit:

Plant Description:
Size and Shape: The Miyazaki mango plant is a tropical tree that grows up to about 3–5 meters tall. It has a dense canopy of dark green, elongated leaves. The tree thrives in subtropical and tropical climates, requiring warm temperatures and plenty of sunlight.
Flowers: The tree produces small, fragrant flowers in clusters. These are typically white or light pink in color, which later give way to the mango fruit.
Growth Conditions: Miyazaki mango trees prefer well-drained, fertile soil. They also need a significant amount of care and attention to reach full potential, including protection from frost and proper irrigation.
Fruit Description:
Appearance: The fruit is medium to large in size, with a smooth, shiny skin that transitions from deep green to a rich, reddish-orange as it ripens. The shape is slightly oval and is known for its uniform size and smooth surface.
Color: When ripe, the fruit’s skin has a vibrant reddish hue, and the flesh is a rich yellow.
Taste: One of the most distinguishing features of the Miyazaki mango is its incredible sweetness. The flavor is rich, fruity, and buttery, with a slight tangy note. The flesh is exceptionally smooth, almost fiberless, and melts in the mouth.
Size: Typically, each mango weighs around 350–500 grams and measures about 15–20 cm in length.
Harvest: The fruit is usually harvested while still green and allowed to ripen off the tree. The ripening process is carefully controlled to ensure the perfect flavor and texture.
The Miyazaki mango is often sold at a premium due to its high quality, and it's considered a luxury fruit in Japan. It is sometimes presented as a gift, and prices can reach astonishing heights, especially for the best specimens.
